Elections
Chuck Kill
, the CEO of Bedmart, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Western Home Furnishing Association. The association provides home furnishing retailers with services, educational tools and expertise to develop home furnishing businesses in the 12 Western States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Greg Angle
Two City of Tucson procurement employees were elected to the National Purchasing Institute Board of Directors.
, CEO of Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital, was elected to the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association’s Board of Directors. Additionally, Mr. Angle will serve as the chair of the Service Corporation Board. Angle has been CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital since 2006. Prior to taking on the role as St. Joseph’s CEO, Angle was CEO of Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital for 6 years.Mark Neihart, director of procurement for the City of Tucson, was elected to the role of vice president. Kathleen Bender, contract administrator for the service contracting division of procurement, was elected as the NPI committee chair for the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award Team and serves on the AEP Evaluation Committee.
Promotions
Asarco LLC. promoted two within its financial staff.
Oscar Gonzalez Baron is the new treasurer. He previously served as the company’s controller for the last five years. Russell Smith is the new controller. He has been working with Asarco since April of this year.

John B. George as vice president of administration. He has over 30 years experience in financial, treasury and purchasing management. Previously he served as vice president of purchasing and supply chain management at Republic Engineered Products Inc.

joined the Catalina Foothills office of Northern Trust as a vice president and senior commercial lender, responsible for new commercial lending management. The office is located at 3450 E. Sunrise Dr, Suite 100. Mackel has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Northern Trust, she was with Bank of the West as a commercial banking relationship manager. Julie Gregory to the company’s Tucson offices. She will be a new business development and healthcare specialist. A lifetime Tucsonan, Gregory has been in sales her entire career, with eight years of experience in commercial furniture.

joined Allen & Young Business Brokerage as a business broker. Walik has worked as an executive in the Tucson area since 1994.Julia Campbell as production coordinator. Campbell brings more than four years of experience to her position. Anita Haley was hired as a real estate lending professional and manager at the Pantano Road office. Lesya Mykytiv joined as a real estate lending professional also at the Pantano Road office. Mark Kennelly joined the staff at the Grant Road office as a real estate lending professional specializing in commercial real estate finance. And Natalie Reed joined the Grant Road office as a real estate lending professional specializing in residential real estate finance.
