Bill targets vehicles,
houses used by ‘coyotes’

Knowingly renting or selling property, homes or vehicles to be used by human smugglers would be a felony under a bill (HB 2625) being considered in the Arizona Legislature.

The bill, introduced by Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, targets those who help smugglers transport illegal immigrants across the Arizona-Mexico border. It also would cover homes used as "drop houses."
