Qwest Communications is switching wireless phone services partners to Verizon, from Sprint Nextel.

Qwest announced the new five-year agreement May 5, saying Qwest customers will have full access to Verizon’s product lines and services. The two companies will also develop bundled services for commercial and business customers.

Qwest, which doesn’t have its own wireless phone service, has been reselling Sprint’s service under its own brand since 2004. In February, Qwest said it was re-evaluating the arrangement. It said it would continue to support the Sprint service through February 2009.
