Jan Lesher named as governor’s chief of staff

Tucsonan Jan Lesher, who until January 2007 ran Gov. Janet Napolitano’s Southern Arizona office, will become the governor’s chief of staff Sept. 15, replacing Dennis Burke, who is leaving to work on political campaigns.

For the past 20 months, Lesher has been director of the Arizona Department of Commerce.

" Ms Lesher is a nationally known figure. She is one of the BEST communicators that I know.
She is more than qualified to serve as Chief of Staff to the governor.
Her appointment is a PLUS for the State of Arizona. "
