New Hires

The Center for Neurosciences hired epileptologist and neurologist David Teeple and headache specialist Bert Vargas for its growing practice. The group now boasts a physician staff of 16. Teeple served most recently at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. Teeple specializes in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of adult epilepsy, video-EEG monitoring and evaluation for epilepsy surgery. Vargas previously worked for the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. Vargas specializes in the treatment of all headache disorders, including migraine, tension-type and cluster headaches.

Gary Capwell is a new interior designer for the Tubac Ranch location of Sunset Interiors. Most recently, Capwell was an interior designer for California Design Center and was a design team member on their award-winning home at Street of Dreams, 2007.

A Rich Experience added several new members to its staff including: Julia Chittock as a licensed anesthetician, Nicole Taylor as a doctor with emphasis in clinical nutrition, homeopathy, acupuncture and botanical medicine, Don Chatfield as a certified hypnotherapist and Stacy Enriquez as a massage therapist.

Joseph A. Kroeger joined Snell & Wilmer’s Tucson office. His practice is concentrated in labor and employment, advising and representing employers.

Buzz Dempsey joined NOVA Home Loans as a senior loan officer at the River Road office. Dempsey has more than 25 years’ experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining NOVA, he served as branch manager at National City Mortgage for13 years.

NetMedia Inc. hired Kathleen Doolan as the public relations director. Doolan will be working to promote NetMedia, and its technological products.

 

Awards, honors, and recognitions

Jeffrey A. Hursh, an attorney in the Tucson office of Snell & Wilmer, was honored as Member of the Year by the State Bar of Arizona. Hursh, whose legal practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, environmental, energy and finance matters, worked pro bono for a full year to assist the organization in acquiring two downtown parcels for a new Southern Arizona regional office.

Mortgage Originator Magazine ranked Jerry Sundt, owner of Sundt Mortgage Group, 17th in the nation and third in the state in mortgage origination for the year 2007. The ranking was done by number of loans originated as well as by the dollar volume of loans completed. In dollar volume, his ranking was 53 nationally and third in Arizona.

 

Promotions

Kevin Wong, regional director of Soreo In Home Support Services, has been named executive director of Soreo Select Custom Home Care Services.

 

Appointments

The Miracle Center appointed Pat Lutz as Interim Executive Director following the retirement of Bettie Smith, the founder. The Miracle Center is a faith-based transitional home for women, transforming the lives of homeless women breaking free from drug and alcohol addiction.

HTG Inc. appointed Pete Clemens to senior vice president of commercial operations. Clemens joins HTG from Becton Dickinson & Company where he most recently was vice president, distributor, OEM and strategic account management.

The American Board of Radiology appointed John T. Adams as its new chief information officer. Adams has more than 18 years of progressive experience as an IT executive and most recently served as vice president for software development at Fieldstone Mortgage Company in Columbia, Md.

" I would be very much interested in getting into contact with Mr Bert Vargas : we live in south west France and my daughter-24years old- suffers from all possible kinds of head aches.Nobody knows how to relieve her ...
She suffers all day day after day...migraines, cluster headaches, knifestabs-like headaches (those are the most frequent at the moment)
she has sufferd from migraines since she was two and a half but things have gone out of control in the last five years
to make things more difficult as far as treatments are concerned she's a vegan and is very careful about what she takes
her life is so difficult she is so tired, exhausted all the time...

so if you could help.... "
