combines 3 celebrations

Published on Friday, October 03, 2008

With three reasons to celebrate, Tucson International Airport is having an open house Oct. 11 marking the 60th anniversary of the Tucson Airport Authority, the 50th birthday of the airport’s control tower and the culmination of eight years of construction.

Events are scheduled throughout the day, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with tours every half-hour of the new federal inspection facility in the terminal for arriving international passengers and airfield tours at the Executive Terminal. There will also be musical performances, dedication of a new art exhibit and free refreshments.
