Steve Schultz, owner of Red Sky Cafe in Plaza Palmino, has opened Tucson’s newest Italian restaurant, Luna Bella at the south end of the same center in the space that last housed the short-lived Bistro Philippe and before that was Firecracker for several years.

Schultz describes his new venture as fine Italian dining that features “unique dishes rarely seen outside of Italy.”

First with Metro Restaurants’ Italia and now Luna Bella, there seems to a resurgence among restaurateurs wanting to open Italian restaurants featuring menu items supposedly rarely found out of the homeland.

Luna Bella is open for both lunch and dinner, from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily.
