Promotions
Right Management promoted Donna Kelly to senior consultant. Kelly has worked in the career transition field for more than 15 years.
Jeffrey Goldberg, associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Engineering at The University of Arizona, is the interim dean of the college. Goldberg has been at the UA since 1985.
Augusta Resource Corporation made several staffing moves. The company promoted Raghunath Reddy to chief financial officer. Reddy served as the vice-president of finance with the company for the past year, and has more than 26 years experience in the development and financing of mining. In addition, Tracey Brix-Nielsen was promoted to treasurer of the company. Brix-Nielsen has been Augusta’s corporate controller since August 2006 and will now fill both roles. Mark Stevens was promoted to vice president of exploration. Stevens has been with the company for two years as chief geologist and has more than 27 years of technical and managerial experience in the exploration, evaluation, and mining of base and precious metals. Meghan Brown has been appointed to the position of manager, investor relations and corporate communications. Brown has more than 15 years experience in communications and investor relations in the mining and energy sectors.
Bogutz & Gordon promoted Teresa D. Hall to attorney. Hall will work with clients on estate planning matters, guardianships and conservatorships, as well as fiduciary and care management services. Hall has served as a law clerk with Bogutz & Gordon since August.

New Hires
The Caliber Group hired Dave Goldsmith as art director. Goldsmith brings 14 years of graphic design experience, logo development, image branding and Web design to the Caliber Group. Before joining the Caliber Group, Goldsmith served as the art director and associate creative director for LP&G, where he worked for 12 years.
Appointments
The Providence Service Corporation appointed Craig A. Norris, the company’s chief operating officer, to the company’s board of directors. Norris, age 41, has been with Providence since its inception in 1996, joining as the director of planning and development.
Awards, honors, and recognitions
The Parent Aid Child Abuse Prevention Center honored people who are making a difference in the lives of children in our community with the annual Teddy Awards. The awards were given to John Scheatzle, Donie Gignac, John Burkholder, Joyce Thornton and Gloria Olvera.
Nathan Daou, principal contract officer in the City of Tucson’s Department of Procurement, is the winner of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing 12th Annual Ethics Essay Contest. This year’s essay contest topic asked how one would deal with an attempt to subvert the competitive bid process during times of budget crunches. Daou has been with City Procurement for seven years.
Elections
Rob Charles, an attorney with Lewis and Roca, has been selected as a Lawyer Representative for the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference for the District of Arizona. Charles was selected from several attorneys who applied and will serve a three-year term beginning in November 2008 and concluding in July 2011. Charles will not only attend the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference each year, but will also participate in the quarterly judges’ meetings that are attended by the federal district court judges, the magistrate judges, the bankruptcy judges and the clerk of the court, as well as the annual conference of the District of Arizona. Charles’ practice is concentrated in the Finance and Bankruptcy Group. He primarily represents both secured and unsecured creditors, as well as debtors, in all aspects of Chapter 11 business bankruptcy cases before the bankruptcy courts and in appeals.
