“It is a cost reduction effort to try and centralize and use our scale to create better efficiencies in the business,” said Mike Monahan, vice president of external relations with Ecolab. “All the operations in Tucson will move back to St. Paul.”
The company made the announcement Monday, and according to Monahan, they will begin to phase the work to St. Paul and hope to finish in July or August.

“We have offered positions to the people there back in Minnesota,” Monahan said. “There are a couple who have accepted but we don’t have a final number yet.”
The Ecolab office has around 30 employees.
Ecolab moved about 40 people into roughly 16,000 square feet in the 22nd, 23rd and part of the 21st floors of the Unisource Tower, 1 S. Church Ave., in late 2007.
They previously we’re located at 4775 S. Butterfield Drive suite 175.
The division's primary brands are Blue Coral, Westley's, Rain-X and Black Magic.
