Intuit, Colton Co. named WaterSmart Businesses

Published on Friday, June 26, 2009

Intuit and the Colton Company at Williams Centre have been named the first two businesses to receive WaterSmart Busines Awards from Tucson Water.

Intuit has invested in indoor water saving fixtures such as motion-sensor faucets, waterless urinals, faucet aerators, and high efficiency kitchen sprayers.  The Colton Company has overseen comprehensive landscaping and irrigation efficiency improvements, resulting in a significant reduction in water use.

Tucson Water’s WaterSmart Business program is intended to assist business owners and managers who want to conserve water, save money and contribute to a more sustainable community. Businesses meeting program criteria receive public recognition including signs, plaques and use of advertising logos.
