Paragon Space development adds three to board of directors

New Hires

Michelle Strier joined Russell Public Communications as director of account service. Prior to joining Russell Public, she was vice president at the New York offices of Manning Selvage & Lee and Chamberlain Communications Group, respectively. Strier is a seasoned communications professional with nearly a decade of experience managing national and global accounts for corporations, not-for-profits, and government agencies

Thadeaus Jones joined Sunstreet Mortgage, LLC as a Senior Loan Officer focusing on residential home loans. Jones is experienced in government lending programs including FHA, USDA, HUD, manufactured homes and other home loan products. Jones has been in the lending industry in Tucson since 2001.

Mark Faber joined Blease Financial Services as a financial consultant. Faber brings with him more than 25 years of experience and will assist Blease Financial in helping retirees and pre-retirees build, protect and preserve their assets.

Elections

Janko Nikolich-Žugich, co-director of the Arizona Center on Aging at The University of Arizona College of Medicine, has been elected president of the American Aging Association. As AAA president, Dr. Nikolich-Žugich will organize and chair the 39th Annual AGE Meeting, “Inflammation and the Aging Process: Causes and Consequences,” which will be held in Portland, Ore., June 4-7, 2010. He is chairman of the Department of Immunobiology at the UA College of Medicine and Bowman Professor of Medical Research at the UA.

Kym Adair was elected to the board of directors of the Southern Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association. She is currently is the corporate marketing manager for NOVA Home Loans. She will be leading the group’s public relations committee.

Paragon Space Development Corporation, added three members to its board of directors: Joe Rothenberg, Ronald K. Sable and David W. Jourdan. Rothenberg, is a member of the Board of Directors and President of Universal Space Network Inc. Previously, he served as NASA’s associate Administrator for Space Flight. Sable is president of Concord Solutions Ltd., a business consulting practice for high technology firms.  His previously held senior positions at Aerospace Corporation. Jourdan, founder and president of Nauticos LLC, has spent his career of nearly 30 years devoted to the exploration of deep oceans.

Social Venture Partners Greater Tucson elected its board of directors. Frank Grundstrom joins the board after a 32 year career with The Boston Globe. He will chair the Investment Committee which makes the selection of SVP grant recipients. Mark Fisher, Senior Project Manager for Pulice Construction was reelected to a second term as chair; John Smith was elected to a second term as vice chair; Meredith Spear was elected to a second term as secretary; and Len Coris, founder of Watermill Financial Group was elected treasurer.

Promotions

Michelle French has been promoted to account coordinator of Russell Public Communications, directing administrative office functions and participating in all aspects of the business—from media buying and event planning to creative direction and marketing. French previously served as executive assistant.
