UMC delivers education with pregnant robot University Medical Center purchased lifesize computerized robots of a pregnant woman and her infant to teach nurses, medical students and residents about caring for mothers and babies during a difficult labor and childbirth. The robots can be programmed to simulate various factors in the child-birth process. A $40,000 grant was used to purchase the two robotic mannequins that have been named “Noelle” and “Baby Hal.” |
