The results are in from more than 3 million reviews of nearly 10,000 restaurants in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia for the 2009 Diners’ Choice Awards for Most Scenic View. McClintock’s at Saguaro Ranch was among the 50 restaurants to make the list.

Only two other Arizona restaurants made the list: Different Point of View at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix and elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain resort in Paradise Valley.

The awards were based on guest feedback of OpenTable diners between August 2008 and July 2009. The complete list of restaurants is online at www.opentable.com/scenic

Dizzy G’s is back

Dizzy G’s, has reopened after a lengthy hiatus. The restaurant is also back in the family hands of original owner Russ Gillespie after a two-year stint under different ownership.

Today, Gillespie’s stepson Paul Leschak has taken the reins and launched a new menu with a blend of classics, such as the buffalo burger or club sandwich, and newer menu items.

First opened 26 years ago, it’s fitting the family has retaken control of Dizzy G’s as they celebrated the anniversary last week.

Why now? Leschak explains, “There’s really no better time than now to bring back Dizzy G’s, as there is so much excitement circulating downtown with all of the revamping going on. You can really feel it in the air down here.”

Dizzy G’s is open for breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
