So. AZ's congressional reps split on 'You lie' rebuke

Southern Arizona’s two Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives went separate ways last week on a vote to reprimand U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., for shouting “You lie” during President Obama’s Sept. 9 address to a joint session of Congress.

The Sept. 15 vote passed 240-179, largely along political lines but with some exceptions, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was one of 12 Democrats to vote against it. Although she criticized Wilson in a statement, Giffords said there were more important things, adding “we should not waste any more time on this matter.”

Rep. Raul Grijalva voted in favor of the measure to censure Wilson.
