Published on Friday, November 06, 2009

University Physicians Healthcare Hospital, 2800 E. Ajo Way, has started construction on two psychiatric facilities and a new emergency department.

The two psychiatric facilities are a Behavioral Health Pavilion, which will provide inpatient, outpatient and emergency medical and psychiatric services; and the Crisis Response Center, which will provide assessment, stabilization and treatment to patients not requiring emergency medical or acute psychiatric care.

The two facilities will offer an integrated approach and a continuum of care for patients experiencing mental health issues.
